I can absolutely relate! I used to be a lawyer. It often comes up in conversation at work and sometimes I get so frustrated when people see me as the lady who used to be lawyer. I feel pigeonholed in that label

I’m so glad this spoke to you. A profession like law carries such a strong identity, so I can see how others might latch onto it. It really is interesting how those labels stick. In my case I was the one keeping it alive in my own mind, even while wishing others would move on. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.🩷

I regonize myself 100% in What you describe in a very beautiful way SusanπŸ’Ÿ We are so Β« programmedΒ» in that: I am a. . Labelling is so common. But we are so much more, we are more than we think and are taught in The way we speak of ourselves. If I present myself with I am me… I am Tony most people will not Get itπŸ˜‚ But we are behind that phase and that is goodπŸ’—πŸ™

I’m so glad this resonated with you, Tony. You’re right, so much of it is programming and even the way we speak about ourselves. Beautiful that you’re aware of this, as you clearly are. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.πŸ’•βœ¨

What a thoughtful comment, Linda. Thank you for highlighting the best part for me, my awareness of what happened. I really appreciate your words. Awareness itself can feel like such a gift.🩷
