The Voice I’m Learning To Soften
Noticing the voice that rushes—and choosing differently
There’s a voice I’m learning to soften—
the one that whispers “do more, be more, prove more.”
It rushes me.
Pressures me.
Urges me to move faster, do better, justify my existence.
But lately, I’ve been noticing it.
Pausing before obeying it.
And sometimes, I don’t obey it at all.
Instead, I sit with the discomfort of not doing.
And I let that be enough.
